COMMISSIONERS k I Uniontown , Pa. Aug. 13 , 1920. A joint meeting of the Commissioners of Washington County and Fayette County was held in the Commissioners Office of Fayette County, I Uniontown , Pa. , on Friday, August 13 , 1920. Members present being as follows: From Washington County, l Messrs. Johnson and Walker; from Fayette County, liessrs. Hibbs, Rush and Marshall. County Road Engineer , Chaney , of Washington County and County Road Engineer, McCollough of Fayette County were also present. j On motion duly seconded and carried, Mr. Johnson was made Chairman of the meeting and Mr. Rush , Secretary. The following bid was received for furnishing and placing of the plank and removing and replacing old plank according to the specifications on the Speers-Belle Vernon Bridge over the MonongahelaRiver between Fayette and Washington Counties. Farris Engineering Company. . . . . . . . . . . . .$14,000. 00 Price bid per square yard for the furnishing and placing of any addtional G new block as may be required. Farris Engineering Company. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4. 00 Price per thousand -of 4150. 00 for any additional lumber required for replacing the old decking. i Moved by Mr. Walker and seconded by Mr. Marshall that the bids be accepted and the contract awarded to the Farris Engineering Company of Pittsburg, Pa. -Motion unanimously carried. Motion by Mr. Rush, seconded by Mr. Walker , that the Engineers of Washington and Fayette Counties inspect the approaches to the Belle Vernon- Speer .6rifte and prepare specifications for whatever repairs are required and present same to the Controllers of Washington and Fayette Counties for advertisement for bids in accordance with the specifications. Bids opened by Controller Underwood i 'E in presence of-County Commissioners when it was ascertained that the bid of but one- lirm, to-wit, Brinker Supply Company, complied with requirements In that dertified check for sum of $200 adoompanied said bid; bid of said Brinker dupply Company, conforming to requirements and for truest or wagon loader fulling specifications as set forth in said 'advertisement, presented 1 to County' Commissioners in three (3) parts, designated as follows:•- Proposal4A; Proposal B; Proposal C , Proposal A being for one wahine; Proposal B ,being for two machines and Proposal C being for three machines, at prices respoottiely as follows: m Proposal A, $3572. 00 B.O.B.Burgettetown. j Proposal B, $7072. 00 B.O.B.Burgettstown.
