Commi-ssioners Washington, Pa, August 24th. 1920. County Commissioners in regular session. Umbers present. Messrs. I Johnston . Walker and Baker. Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Balker that contract for delivering assessment books and supplies for property assessment for 1921 be awarded to Wm. Galley, of Washington, at the price of One ($1. 00) Dollar per district,' for every district in Washington County in which delivery is made, there being a total of seventy-seven ( 77) assessment districts in said county, said supplies to be delivered on or before,,.Se�b^.list , 1930. Unanimously carried. Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Bcker that in order to facili- tate the matter of registration and assessment of women of Washington County that the Registry Assessors in and for ,the various voting precincts be notified to register and assess all gi qualified women who present themselves at tko polling places on August 31st and September let, 19200 assessing each " woman with the minimum occu pation valuation of One Hundred ($100) Do11arq�* and that in all voting districts wherein *ore than 100 male voters have been registered that the Registry Assessor-therein be, add is hereby authorized to employ a clerk or clerks, as may be actually required to aid in the work r of registering and assessing the said women voters at the polling places- on the said 31st day of August and the lot day of September 1920, the said clerks F to be paid at the same rate as the said Registry Assessors for the said dayst f j to-wit, at the rate of $5.00 per day and that upon proper certificates, being presented at the office of the County Commissioners that the said clerks were actually so employed by the said Registry Assessors that warrants in a pgymObt of the amounts due the said clerks be drawn, payable fwom the funds of the County of Washington, Unanimously carried. r - i ` Motion of Mr. Walker-, seconded by Mr, Eckert that Constable W. Jr. Schmalz be exonerated of the costs in case of Commonwealth vs. Josephine ` Gray, said costs having been Imposed by Grand Jury, such exoneration being subject .to approval of the District A$tornoy, Unanimously.carried, (HOTS: I hereby approve the action of the County Commissioners in above j ! matter, Brwin Cummins; Dist.
