Members present Messrs Johnston and Baker; Mr. Walker had notice of meeting but absent. • Motion of Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston that request of colonial Construction Company, contractor for part of Charleroi•Bentleyvtlle road now under improvement, to effect that an extension of time be givfo for completion of said contract until December lst, 19200 be granted on account of the bond. Question called for. Voting Aye; Messrs, Johnston and Baker. Motion carried. r No further business appearing, the Board adjourned. (SI GN31) ) COUNT, T, Office of County Commissioners Washington, Pa. October 11, 1920 Cbmmmissioners in regular session, members present, Messrs. Johnston and Baker, Mr. Walker having notice, but being--ibxepU,.*=, The following resolution was presented: BB IT RESOLVED, that permission be granted to David -Rees] R. T. McCready and John Brewer, Trustees of the Anderson -Room Coal producers to establish and maintain a single track for the purpose of hauling,coal � from their pit to B. & 0. Railroad at a point on Thomas-linleyville read about 370 feet east of the Venetia Postoffice as now located, on condition that an indemnity bond of the following conditions be given by them as , F Trustees and in their individual capacities, said bond to have the following conditions: "NOW THEnFORE, the condition of this obligation is such that ! if the above bounden obligors shall save, indemnify and keep harmless said County of Washington at all times from all casts, charges,- damages and �k liability of every kind and charao.ter,arising hereafter and accruing to any persons, firms and corporations by� reason of the construction of such mine track across said highway and the operation - of cars thereon, and further shall at all times keep said mine track crossing and 10 feet of the public highway on either side thereof in good repair in such manner and in such condition as said Commissioners, or theft Engineer, may from ,time to time direct and upon abandoning the use of said crossing shall restore '� the highway to the samd condition in which it now is, and shall maintain Im MINUTE BOOK f BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON. JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISOTONEFS f ' r , proper crossing gigne at a reasonable distance on each side of the crossing, then this obligation to be 4oid, otherwise to be and remain in full fora* and virtue"; and on the further conditions (1) that in case the operations should unreasonably interfere with the highway as a public road this privilege may be revoked•at the election of the County Commissioners or their successors, f and (2) in case of such interference with public travel or (3) in case of sureties failing to comply fully with the conditions of the bond the Commiss- ioners or their'successors shall have full right and privilege, without liability, to enter upon the property of Anderson -Rees Coal Company and kremove their tracks and equipment frdm the highway. Motion by Mr. Esker, seconded by Mr: J6hneton that said ' resolution be adopted. Question called for. Voting "Aye" Messrs. Esker and Johnston. -otion carried. Office of County Comiussioners October 11, 1920 Commissioners in regular session, members present. iiesers. Johnston and Baker, Mr. Walker having notice, but being absent. Commissioners met in regular session at 1:15 P.M. with county Controller to receive bida ,for printing and delivery to Commissioners' office of official and specimen ballots for the election to be held on November 2nd., there being present Messrs. Johnston and Baker of Commissioners' office and County Controller Underwood of the Controller's office; only one bid was presented, that of the Observer Job Rooms which said bid was duly opened in the presence of the Commissioners and presented, it being a bid of $5700 for the printing and delivery to Commissioners' office of approxi- mately 76,500 official ballots and 20,000 specimen ballots; motion by Mr. Maker, seconded by Mr. Johnston that the bid of the Observer Job Rooms be accepted and contract let to it for the printing and delivery of said ballots at the said price of $5700, with the understanding that the full number of ballots required should be thus printed and delivered"in accordance with skocifications supplied to the successful bidder.
