W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS Office of County Commissioners Washington, Pa., October 13, 1920 Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston and Ecker; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but being absent. Motion by Mr. Rcker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that election officers on duty at the Fall Election of Novenber 2nd, 19200 be paid for their services at rate of $5 per day of twelve hours from 7 A.M. to 7 F.M. of said day and at rate of 5 for the next twelve hours, or fractional part thereof, or until work of counting and tabulating the votes shall have been completed; it being the intent of this motion that no,llection Board shall be allowed remuneration for more than two (2) days, at rate of $5 per day. Question called for, Voting "Are", Messrs4. Ecker and Johnston. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Beker, eeconded by Mr. Johnston, that the County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for delivery of ballots and election supplie4.to the proper officers of the various voting precincts of Washington County, delivery of same to be made on Saturday, October 30th, 1920, and Monday, November lst, 1920, with suggestion that said advertisement be inserted in local newspapers. Question called for. Voting "Aye" Messrs. Eeker and Johnston. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. E'cker, seconded by Mr. Johnston that inasmuch as r compensation fixed by Act of Assembly for Registrardf in Monongahela City, OL,,City of the Third Class, to -wit, $5 per day is deemed inadequate at the present time and the said Registrars are not allowed mileage for coming f I for books and returning same to office of County Commissioners as required by law, that for purposes of payment of said Registrars, it hereby be made known and designated that a day shall be set forth as consisting of eight working hours and that the said Registrars be g E3 paid for services performed at rate, therefore, of 45 for each eight hours or fractional part of eight hours actually spent by them in the performance of their duties assuch Registrars and that warrants be drawn, payable to each of the Registrars of Monongahela City, for the sum of $7.50, this being the amount i due each of them under the provisions above for services performed on Sept. 2nd, Sofpt. 14. and Oct. 2nd, 1920 in excess of eight hours, services rendered on each of said days.
