January 6th, -1920.
Board of County Commissioners in regular session, all members present.
Minutes of previous meeting read and signed.
On motion regularly made and seconded, it was decided to give legal
notice to all appointees of their appointment and the salary to be- paid and also
notice to be given to those whose services are no longer required after February
2, 1920 .
On motion regularly made and seconded, it was decided that 'George H. Lynalk,' '
H. R. Wolfe , John Plants and Joseph Plants be notified that they will be retained
at their present salaries, until further notice.
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned.

The following resolution was presented and unanimously adopted on motion
of Mr. Walker , seconded by Mr. Baker.
''WHEREAS , in the performance of their official duties the Board of County
Commissioners made a complete and thorough inspection of the Court House, Jail and
Sheriff' s residence, and
WHEREAS said inspection shows the immediate necessity of making necessary
alterations , changes and re-arrangements as follows:
l6t—Ftovi-de- Chambers for Honorable Haldain B Hughes, President Judge of
the Orphans' Court.
2nd-Provide additional office space for the Register of Wills.
3rd-Provide facilities in the Sherifffs residence for communicating
directly with the 3id floor.
4th-Provide an office for the coroner.
5th-Clean, renovate, paint and re-decorate the Shoriff' s residence, and
WHEREAS order
to make the necessary and required changes without delay in o
t4, j*est the requirements of public business the following re-arrangement of offices
"d changes and alterations are found necessary;
let-The assignment to the Judge of the orphans, Court for his Chambers,
the room now used by the Probation officers of the Juvenile Court, and the adjoin-
ing Womens' Waiting room , in accordance with the suggestion and request of the
Rouorable Haldain B Hughes of said Orphanst Court.
2nd-The assignment of the Juvenile Court Probation officers to the Grand
Jury room in the west corridor of Court Room No 1, in accordance with the suggestion
and authority of Honorable J. A. V. cTlvaine , President Judge of the Court of Common
Pleas.
3rd-The re-fitting of the Prisonerst Room in the west corridor of Court
Room No 2 as a Woman' a Waiting room.
4th-The erection of partitions in the Public Sales, Room for an office
for the Coroner, conforming in size and arrangement with'-the present office of the
Inspector of Weights and Measures.
5th-The building of a stairway from the 2nd to the 3rd floor of the
Sheriff' s residence, and the cleaning, painting, decorating, repairing and reno-
�vating of the said residence and the Jail.
