BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYL VANIA
J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS
Office of County Commissioners,
October 21st, 1920.
Is in regular session, members present being Messrr.
Johnston and Walker; Mr. Ecker on notice, but absent.
Motion by Mr. Walker, seceded by mr. Johnston, that an appropri-
ation be made to the Tri-District Institute in the sum of $200, payable from
the funds of the County of Washington, in accordance with the provisions of
the Act of AsserAbly approved the 18th day of !--y6y, 1911, the said District,
composed of the School Districts of ?ionongahela, Donora and Charleroi, having
by resolutions adopted by the Boards of Directors of said Districts, held an
Institute at the City of Monongahel.rt from Aug. 30, 1920, to Sept 3rd, 1920,
inclusive, and having complied in full with the requirements of said Act and
having the required number of teachers employed in the said Districts, the
attendance and expenditures �!Adring b@@n duly certified to this office, as re-
quired by law.
Question called for. Voting "Aye", Messrs. Talker and Johnston,
Notion carried.
'Motion by Mr. Walker, seconded by 'Mr. Johnston, that A. P. Barnum
be employed to perform special duties in arranging for rights of way in con-
nection with proposed improvement of-Speere-Coal Center road, at rate of $5.00
per day for each day actually employed; the, said A. P. Barnum to be allowed
such expenses as he may necessarily incur in the performance of his duties.
Question called for; !Toting "Aye", Messrs. "balker and Johnston.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

from Controller's Office, County Controller Underwood; only one bid received,
that of T. G. Nease, which said bid was opened in presence of County Com-
mission,ers and found to be a bid of $600 for the work in hand; motion of fir.
Esker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for delivery of ballots and
election supplies to various voting precincts of Washington County for election
of Nov. 2, 1920, be awarded to T G Nease at his bid of $600.00 Question
called`�for. Voting "Aye" , Messrs. Baker and Johnston. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

Commissioners in session, members present being Messrs.
Johnstin and Walker.
Motion of Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that Election
officers, to -wit, each Judge, Inspector and Clerk, on duty at the Election
of November 2, 1920, in any election district in which more than 250 ballots
were cast, shall be paid One Dollar for each one hundred ballots or frac-
tional part thereof, in addition to the minimum pay of $5.00 per day, or for
two days as per previous motion duly adopted, this motion duly adopted, this
motion being in accordance with the Act of Assembly of 19190 P. L. 115.
Question called for. Voting "Aye", Messrs. Walker and Johnston.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
