JAMES W.WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS members present being Messrs. Walker, :ohnston and Baker. The following resolution was presented by Mr. Baker, seconded by r. Johnston and unanimously adopted :- Whereas, the Road Supervisors of the Township of West Bethlehem have pre ed to us their resolution and petition for State Aid in- the oonstructio f a section of highway in said Township, being about 30,000 feet in length d situated as follows : Running from the village of Lone Pine toward the B gh of Marianna, joining the county road at Wherry' s School House, and ag ng to pay one-fourth of the total expense of said improvement, and petiti ng the County Commissioners to join in requesting the State Highway Departme to extend State Aid for said road improvement, under the provisions of the approved M P pp May $l, 1911, now, therefore, BE IT RBSOLVBD, That we, the Board of ty Commissioners of Washington County, in regular session assembiked •on this 1 day -of January A D 1921, also 4 _ desiring on behalf of said county to take d antage of the provisions of said Act of May 31, 1911, do hereby petit the said State Highwayrj"- partment for State Aid in the improvement of otion of highway speaitt in the petition aforesaid, and be Vt further RESOLVED, that we, the said Commissioners of Washington County-, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, do hereby agree for said Co ty that it-trill pay to the Commonwealth one-fourth part of the total expahse of said im- provement . Sutherland ; Mrs R W Uylor, and Leo. M&l0n-" - Notion carried. Motion duly made, seconded and adopted, that Board., adjourn until afternoon. January 3 , 1921 2i30 P It Commissioners reconvened in session; members present, Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Icker. Matter of revision of salaries considered, but no decisions reached. Motion duly made, seconded and adopted that Board adjourn, to meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 4th, 1920. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. Soon after 1 o' clock P m Controller Underwood appeared before the Board and announced that no ,bi& had been received for• the creation of par- titlow, etc. , in office of County Treasurer, bids for aam having been 'dUly sought by advertisements inserted in newspapers by the said Controilbr, all all proposals to be reabived up id 12 o' clock noon of January 4th. 1921, and opened In office of County Commissioners at 1 o' clock P M of said date. The' matter of revision of salaries being again under consideration, motion was made by Yr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that salaries of clerks in County Commissioners office, and all other employees of depart- ments whose salaries are to be paid by the County of Washington and not al- ready determined for the current your, be fixed for the your 1921 In ac- cordavas with schedule presented below which indicated name of employee and amount df,, salary to be paid. question called for.
