Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Baker. Motion by Mr. Johnston; seconded -by Mr. Icker, that James Meloy be appointed assessor in and for the borough of McDonald, to fill vacancy caused by resignation and removal from the district of A. J. Voye, regularly 'e ected assessor therein. Oarried unanimously. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. Following resolution presented by Mt. Baker, 4uly seconded and ad-opted; RESOLVED; that on account of decayed condition of bridge over the water* of Chartiers Creek, on line -between Chartiers Township and South Strabane Township, known as Bridge No. 50 , or the "Arden Bridge" , and be- pause of increased traffic and tonnage over said bridge, a new and wider bridge is necessary for the convenience of the public, that the solicitor for tile County Commissioners be instructed to prepare a, petition to the Court of Quarter Sessions-, . Setting forth the above matters, in order that it may properly be laid before the Grand jury at its next session. Motion by.Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr..- Johnston, that County Engineer be instructed to prepare plans for bridge to be erected over the water* of Pigeon Creek on site- of former Bridge Number Twelve (12), destroyed, and to, communicate at. onos with structural manufacturers with reference to ob- taining matqrial, etc. , to be used in the construction of said bridge; and to do such other things in the Premises as will expedite the erection of the said Bridge.
