Joint meeting of Commissimers, Poor Board and Controller
V resumed later in the day and upon motion duly made , seconded and
unanimously carried all bids presented in connection with the proposed
alteration and improvement of the main building of the Uounty home
were rejected and the Controller instructed to return to the bidders
certified checks that had accompanied their estimates and further
that a meeting of these Boards _be held on the first Monday of June
for the purpose of considering whether or not new bids should be
ae 0-0 t. Meeting then adjourned,

Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston that the
Commissioners ,award the sum of $2098, this being the scam asked for,
to complete the memorial to World War Veterans at Monongahela by
Co=' aittee representing citizens of that municipality, Unanimously carried,
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Baker that Mr,
John J. Magison be given authority as a county Police Officer, under
the Act of Assembly in such case mate and provided, Unanimously carriede
Notion by" Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Baker that a ford
automobile be purchased by the county of Washington for use of the
Bngindering Bepart;ente Unanimously carried.
