Commissioners in regular session, members present being
Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Esker.
Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that A.A. Cummins
be appointed caretaker of county highways, to succeed the late Grover 7e13,
with toe powers of constable as conferred upon such caretaker by Act of
Max 3, 1917, _ said appointment to be effective from October 14, 1921,
at a monthly salary of One Hundred Fifty (4150.00) Dollars, payable
monthly and such expenses as shall be necessarily incurred in performance
of his duty. -Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by fir. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that A.A. Cummins,
Judge of Elections in 2nd precinct, 2nd Ward, Borough of Washington, be
appointed Return Judge from Washington County, to meet with Return Judge
from Greene County tp consolidate the votes cast for Delegates to
Constitutional Convention in the 25th Congressional District of Pennsylvania,
at the primary held on September 20, 1921, the said Return Judge to receive
the sum of 410 for each day actually employed in computing the said vote,
i* accordance with the Act of June 12, 1919. Motion unanimously carried.

Walker and Johnston; Mr. Ecker having notice of meeting, but absent.
At 2 P.M. joint meeting of County Commissioners and County
Controller to receive and open bids for the printing and delivering of
some 85,000 official ballots and required number of specimen ballots for
Municipal Election of Nov. 8th.; present for County Commissioners, Meeers.
Walker and Johnston; Deputy Controller M. M. Decker, present for County
Controller; but one bid was presented and opened before the County
Commissioners, that of the Ward Printing Company of Washington, for
#324OeOO; motion by fir. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that contract
for printing and delivery of official and sample ballots required for Fall
Election be awarded to Ward Printing Company at its bid of #3240; question
called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Johnston and Walker. liotion carried,
