BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

County Home, Arden, Pa.
January 16, 1922.
Joint meeting of County Commissioners, Directors of the
Poor and County Controller, held for purposeof taking action relative to
contemplated improvement of County Buildings at Arden; present for County
Commissioners, Messrs . Walker, Johnston and Ecker; present for Directors
of the Poor, Mrs. Lane, Messrs. Buchanan and Pollock; Mr. Underwood
present for Controllerts Office. Minutes of last meeting read and
approved.
Motion by Mr. Buchanan, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that the
Controller be requested to advertise -for bids for repairs and improvements '
at County Home, estimates to be based upon plans preparedby F. Mo. Crooks,
architect,- similar to plans prepared during 1921. Motion unanimously
carried.
There being no further business, the joint meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each
member having had personal notice of the meeting, members present being -
Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
The following resolution of the Board of County Commiss-
ioners of the County of Washington, relative to the issue by the said
county of $50, 00040 in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and
unanimously adopted by said Board, to wit:
VaMHEAS, it has become necessary for the said Board to
borrow the sum of $50, 000.00 for the purpose of meeting current expenses
for - the year 1922 and for which taxes have been levied but are not -yet
paid into the County Treasurer, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
THE SAID COUNTY OF WASHINGTON, that for the purpose of providing funds
for the payment of current expenses, the proper officers of the, said
county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate temporary loans
