Commissioners in regular session; members present, Messrs.
Walker, Johnston and Ecker. At 11:35 A.M. joint meeting of Commissioners
and Controller for purpose of opening bids for installing new Ruud Automatic
Gas Water Heater in jail, as advertised for; Commissioners present being
Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Baker, Deputy Controller Mark M. Decker
representing Controller's Office; bids from the following persons having
been received were opened in presence of Commissioners: -
City Plumbing Company, Canonsburg, $360.00
John R. Earley, Washington, 345.50
Clarence E. Houston , Washington, $345-00, with
allowance of $15.00 for old heater, making
his net bid for new work, 330.000
all bids being accompanied by certified checks in- amounts required.
Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract
for installing the Ruud Automatic Gas Water. Heateir in the jail be awarded
to the lowest and best bidder, to wit, Clarence E. Houston at his- net,� bid.
of $330-00, and that the Controlle' r be directed to return certified checks
to unsuccessful bidders.
There being no further business before the joint session,
it adjourned.

Walker, Johnston and Baker.
Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the
salary of A. M. Linn, recently elected Solicitor for County Commissio,ners,
be fixed at $1800.00 per annum in conformity with Acts of Assembly regulating
such matters. Motion unanimously carried.

Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that A. M.
Linn, Solicitor, be authorized to name an Assistant Solicitor to be
approved by the Commissioners, who shall act without salary for the
Solicitor in his absence. Motion unanimously carried.

Motion by Mr,Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnstob, that exoneration
lists filed by delinquent collectors for 1921 taxes be accepted and filed.
Motion unanimously carried.
