BOARD OF COUNTY 'COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Board of Revision having to do with matters of assessment of
properties in Washington County for taxable purposes, in regular session,
members present being Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that coal under-*
lying the County of Washington, in whatever district, known as the Freeport
Vein, be assessed for the period of 1922, 1923 and 1924 at a valuation of
Twenty ($20-00) Dollars per acre, and that coal underlying the County of 11
Washington, in ,whatever district, known as the Waynesburg Vein, be assessed
for the period of 1922, 1923 and 1924 at Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars per
iacre. Motion.;unanimously carried.

Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that valuations
placed upon coal properties known as inactive coal, for taxable purposes for
the years 1922, 1923 and 1924, remain the same as during the preceding
triennial period, save in the townships of Independence and Jefferson, and
that, valuations� placed upon coal acreage at mine openings, and known as
active coal, be graduated as follows:
Where the assessed valuation of inactive coal in any district
is less than $100- 00 per acre, the valuation of active coal shall be $100-001
per acre more than that ',of inactive coal: where the assessed valuation of
inactive coal in any district is more than $100.00 per acre, the valuation
of active coal 'shall be double that of the inactive coal; the acreage of
active coal at each mine opening to be in accordance with following
schedule: -
Opening with 200 acres and more to be charged with 100 acres active

This action to supersede that of Board of Revisionof February
21, 1922. Mlotion unanimously carried.

Revision, it adjourned
