BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Washington, Pa. , March 20, 1922.
Board of Revision having to do with matters of assessment of
properties in Washington County for taxable purposes, in regular session. ,
members present being Messrs . Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that Pitts-
burgh vein of coal, comprising separate estate, in the Township of
Independence, be assessed for the period of 1922, 1923 and 1924 at a
valuation of Ninety ($90.00) Dollars per acre, and that land; i. e. coal
and surface in hands of original owners or held jointly by individuals and
not separated, be assessed for same period at a valuation of Ninety ($90.00)
Dollars per acre; 'this motion to supersede motion presented and adopted at
a previous meeting of the Board of Revision, fixing valuations of Pittsburgh
vein of coal in said Township at $$125.00 per acre. Motion unanimously
carried .

Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the
Pittsburgh vein of coal in the Township of Jefferson, be assessed for the
period of 1922, 1923 and 1924 at a valuation of One hundred ten ($110.00)
Dollars per acre; this motion, to supersede motion presented and adopted
at a previous meeting of the Board of Revision, fixing valuation of
Pittsburgh vein of coal in said township at $125.00 per acre. Motion ,
unanimously carried.

Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that assessment
of 100 acres of surface in name of John E. Gamble be stricken from assess-
ment book for Somerset Township, the same having been erroneously assessed
therein, it being evident that the mansion house of said tract is situate
in Nottingham Township , where practically all of said surface is located,
and , that the assessment of said tract b'e allowed to remain on assessment
book for Nottingham Township, it having been assessed in both Somerset and
Nottingham Townships. Motion unanimously carried.
There being no further business before the Board, it adjourned.
