Commissioners in regular session, members present being
Messrs. Johnston and Baker; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but
absent.
Joint meeting of County Commissioners and County Controller
at 11:35 A.M. to open bids for the printing and furnishing complete assess-
ment books and field books for the annual assessment for the year 1922;
present for County Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Baker; for County
Controller, Deputy Controller M. M. Decker; bids from the following con-'
cerns opened in presence of County Commissioners, and duly read:

ASHBY PRINTING COMPANY, Brie, Pa.
Assessment Books------------------------------ $300.00

WARD PRINTING COMPANY, Washington,
Assessment and Field Books (bid made in lump)-------------$357-00
Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the
contract for printing and furnishing of assessment and, field books for
the year 1923 be awarded to the Ward Printing Company, ,Washington, Pa. ,
at its bid of $357.00, and that the Controller be directed to return
certified checks of unsuccessful bidders. Question called for, voting
"aye", Messrs. Johnston and Eaker. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint session,
it was adjourned.

Motion by Mr. -Johnston, seconded by Mr. Baker, that contract
for steam shovel work on- Short Creek Road be awarded to Messrs. B. C. &
L. M. Clutter, of Deer Lick, Pa. Motion unanimously carried.
