Walker and Johnston; Mr. Ecker having notice of meeting, but absent. Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker,- that County Controller be requested to advertise for bids on an issue of $300, 000 Road ; Improvement Bonds of the County of Washington, said advertisement to be inserted in the Legal Journal of Washington County and other publications at the earliest possible moment, copy for said advertisement to be furnished by the County Solicitor. Question called for; voting "Aye", Messrs. Johnston and Sulker. Motion carried. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. {SIGNED) County Coommissioners.- A RESOLUT ION supplementing, changing and correcting a resolution of the- County Commission- ers of Washington County, Pennsylvania, entitled "A RESOLUTION authorizing the issuance of Three hundred thousand ($300, 000) Dollars of bonds of the County of Wash- ington, Pa. , for the purpose of providing funds for permanently improving, repairing and maintaining certain public roads and highways in the County of Washington, as provided by Actw of Assembly ,of May 11 , 1911 P.L. 2" and May 31, 1911 P.L. 468 and the amendments thereof and supplements thereto ; to ap- prove the fora, of bond; and to provide for the assessment, levy and collection of a tax to pay the interest and taxes covenanted to be paid thereon and the principal thereof at maturity." which said resolution was duly adopted by said, Commissioners on the 31st day of July, 1922. WHEREAS, Section 5 of said original resolution levied and assessed as therein set forth an annual tax for the purposes therein mention= ed, and the amount of said levy and assessment read, inter alia, as follows: Ino the year 1936 1 ,445 In,, the year 1938 19 050 In the year 1939 i8:995; and WHEREAS, these figures now appear to be incorrect; NOW, therefore, be it resolved: NA I ICI lJ j' BOAR® OF COUNTY COIVIMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS I ,I u That Section 5 of the resolution of said County Commissioners of July 31, 1922, above quoted be, and the same hereby is, amended to read, inter alia, as follows: In the year 1936 $17,455 In the year 1938 19,210 j In the year 1939 18,965; and - in all other respects the said Section 5 be and remain as adopted- Be it further resolved, that this amendment to said resolution p. be filed by the Clerk of the Court of Quarter Sessions of Washington County, Pennsylvania, at the same number and term as the original resolution. Duly presented and unanimously adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Pennsylvania, 'I held the llth day of September, 1922, at which all members of the Board, to wit, Messrs. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for the con'atruction- i, Of' the Monongahela Pike, Eighty-four Section, a distance of 21,6;45 feet; I the Monongahela Pike, Ginger Hill Section, a-distance of. 19,2501feet, and the Washington Avenue Road, Finleyville, a distance of 1305 feet'!; also , for the furnishing and erection of a fire proof garage, 40x80 feet, on county property, rear of No • 80 West Beau Street, Borough of Washington; ;I plans and specifications to be seen at the office of the County ,Engineer.
