Duly presented and unanimously adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Pennsylvania, 'I held the llth day of September, 1922, at which all members of the Board, to wit, Messrs. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for the con'atruction- i, Of' the Monongahela Pike, Eighty-four Section, a distance of 21,6;45 feet; I the Monongahela Pike, Ginger Hill Section, a-distance of. 19,2501feet, and the Washington Avenue Road, Finleyville, a distance of 1305 feet'!; also , for the furnishing and erection of a fire proof garage, 40x80 feet, on county property, rear of No • 80 West Beau Street, Borough of Washington; ;I plans and specifications to be seen at the office of the County ,Engineer. Johnston and Walker; voting "No", Mr. Baker . Motion carried. (Mr. Baker requested that his reason for so voting be noted, to wit; that the said emergency did not exist, to his mind, and that the matter of procuring the said bridges should be conducted under usual proceedings. ) ------------- Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that the County Controller be requested to advertise for bids for the printing and delivering to the office of the County Commissioners, approximately seventy-two (72, 000) thousand official ballots and fifteen thousand (15, 000) specimen ballots, for the election of November 7th, 1922, specifications to be seen at the Commis- ion ere' office. Motion unanimously carried. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. Walker, Johnston and Baker; County Controller Underwood present; bids received from the following concerns and opened in the presence of the County Commissioners: - First National Bank, Pittsburgh, Pa. , Par, accrued interest and premium of $17, 694.30 J . H. Holmes & Co . Par, accrued interest and premium of 10,727.00 Mellon National Bank, Pittsburgh, Pa. , Par, accrued interest. and premium of 14,762.52 ' i
