Commissioners in regular session, members present being Meesrs.
Johnston and Ecker; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but absent.
>'dotion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that salary of'
Miss Holmes, stenographer in office of County Superintendent of Schools, be
placed at $100.00 per month, beginning with October 1, 1922. question
called for; voting "Aye", Messrs. Johnston and Ecker. Motion carried.
At 11 A.M. joint meeting of County Commissioners and County
Controller to open bids for the printing and delivering to office of County
Commissioners, approximately 72,000 Official Ballots and 15,000 Specimen
Ballots for use at General Election of November 7, 1922. Present for
County Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Ecker; for County Controller,
Deputy Controller M. M. Decker. Bid received from but one firm, to wit,
the Observer Job Rooms, of Washington, Pa., accompanied by certified check;
in amount required and said bid dily opened in presence of County Commission-
ers and found to be as follows: -
For printing and delivering ballots according
to specifications, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --$3050.00
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that contract
for printing and delivering Official and Specimen Ballots for use at General
Election of November 7, 1922, according to specifications, be awarded to
Observer Job Rooms at its bid of $3050.00. question called for; voting I
"Aye", Messrs. Johnston and Ecker. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint session, it
was adjourned.
There being no further business before the Board of Commission-
ers, meeting was adjourned.
