Commissioners in regular session; members present, Messrs..
Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that Frank
Tharp be appointed Assessor in and for the Borough of Elco, - to fill vacancy
caused by removal of S. C. Wainwright, regularly elected Assessor, upon
petition duly filed. Motion unanimously carried.
There being no further business' the Board adjourned.

Commissioners in regular session, members present being
Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that the
County Treasurer be directed to transfer, with the approval of the County
Controller, the sum of Fifty Thousand ($50, 000.00) Dollars from the Road
Fund of the said County to the General Fund of the County, said sum to be
used in defraying current expenses of the County and to be replaced in the
Road Fund from taxes when received, or as might otherwise be provided, and
when the balance remaining in the Road Fund after such transfer shall have
been drawn upon to the extent of Thirty Thousand ($30, 000-00) Dollars for
Road Improvement Work no further warrants shall be drawn upon the said Road
Fund and notes shall be immediately executed and negotiated, the proceeds
thereof to be paid into the County Treasury, in the amount of $50, 000-00
or more to replace the money in said Road Fund hereby authorized to be trans-
ferred, before any other warrants are drawn on said Road Fund.
Motion unanimously carried.

Motion by Mr. Johnston and seconded by Mr. Ecker, that the
Colonial Construction Company be granted an extension of time on its con-
tract for the construction of the Bentleyville-Beallsville Road to June
let, 1922, owing to unfavorable weather conditions that have delayed work
upon this highway. Motion unanimously carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

Commissioners in regular session; members present, Messrs .
Walker, Johnston and Ecker; the following resolutions were duly presented
and unanimously adopted;-
RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County,
Pennsylvania, that they deem it expedient to improve under the provisions
of the Act of Assembly of said Commonwealth approved May llth, 1911, the
following described section of one of the main public roads or highways
within said county, to wit:-
That section of the public highway beginning at the
intersection of the Short Creek Road and the brick roadleading from
Prosperity to Dunn's Station, thence by way of the Short Creek Road to
Old Concord, a distance of 4J miles, more or less. All of said road is
located in Morris Township.
That an application for the -approval of such improvement be
presented to the Court of Quarter Sessions of said County, and that upon
the approval of such applicationby the Grand Jury and Court, the County-,
Commissioners shall improve the said described section of road in accord-
ance with the surveys and plans therefor, which have been prepared by
George S. Chaney, County Engineer, and in accordance with the provision
-of the Act of Assembly aforesaid and its supplements.
