(SIGNED) Office of County Cbmissioners, Washington, Pa. , May 1, 1922, Commissioners in regular sessionomembers present being Messrs*' Walker, Johnston and Ecker. Notion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that Hugh Quigley be appointed Assessor in and for the Borough of Marianna, to fill vacancy caused by removal of regularly elected Assessor therein. Motion carried. I. - -------------- Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Zcker, that contract for furnishing 500 Bonds for the $500, 000.00 issue of Road Improvement Bonds, Series' A 1922, be awarded to the Security Bank Note Company, of Philadelphia, Pa. ,, it being the lowest and beat bidder, at the price submitted, to wit, $266-0o. Walker, Johnston and Zoker- The following resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, relative to the issue by the said county of $25,000.00 in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and unanimously ! adopted by said Board,, to wit : WHEREAS, 'it has become necessary for the said Board to barrow � the sum of $25, 000-00 for the purpose of- meeting current expenses for the year 1922 and for which taxes have been leviedbut are not yet paid into the County Treasurer, now, therefore, MINUTE 0- MINUTE BOOK BOAR® OF COUNTY COIv1MISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON. JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses, the proper officers of the said county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate temporary loans and issue notes therefor, payable on demand, with interest from date; said notes to be negotiated and issued as follows: Name of Institution: Amount Washington Trust Company, Washington, Pa. $25,000.00 and that said notes be paid out of the first funds available to the County Treasurer from the taxes levied for the current year of 1922. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. (SIGNED) County Commissioners. At 11:15 A.M. , joint meeting of County Commissioners and County Controller to open bids for delivering ballots and supplies to the various election districts of Washington County for the Spring Primary of May 16th; present for County Commissioners, Messrs, Walker, Johnston and Ecker, for County Controller, T. J., Underwood, Controller. Only one bid had been received, that of W. G. Nease, which was opened ,, in presence of County Commissioners, Mr. Nease offering to do the work for ,the sum of $600.00. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for°delivery of ballots and supplies be awarded to Mr. Nease• Motion .unanimously carried.
