Commissioners in regular session, members present Messrs.
Johnston and Ecker, Mr. Walker having notice of meeting but absent.
Joint meeting at 1:30 of County Commissioners and Controller
for the purpose of opening bids for the construction of -certain bridges;
present for County Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Ecker; for Con-
troller's Office, County Controller T. J. Underwood. bids for the bridges
below mentioned were submitted by the firms and individuals indicated and
opened in the presence of the County Commissioners:

Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Ecker, that all bids
be turned over to the County Engineer for tabulation, report to, be made
later when contracts would be awarded,and that the checks of unsuccessful
bidders be returned.
There being no further business before the ,joint session, it
was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each member
having had personal notice of the meeting, members present being Messrs
Walker, Johnston and Ecker.
The following resolution of the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Washington, relative to the issue by the said county of
$25, 000.00 in temporary loans was presented, duly seconded and unanimously
adopted by said Board, to wit:
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the said 13oard to borrow
the sum of $+25, 000.00 for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the

year 1922 and for which taxes have been levied but are not yet paid into

the County Treasurer, now, therefore,
I3B IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the
payment of current expenses, the proper officers of the said county are
hereby authorized and directed to negotiate temporary loans and issue
notes therefor, payable on demand, with interest from date; said notes to
be negotiated and issued as follows:

and that the said notes be paid_ out of the first funds available to the
County Treasurer from the taxes levied for the current year of 1922.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
