At 11:00 A.M. joint meeting of County Commissioners and
County Controller to open bids for the printing of 300 bonds for�the issue
of $300,000 Road Improvement Bonds, Series B, 1922; present for ,County

Commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Baker, for County Controllei, Deputy
Controller M. M. Decker. 'Bids from the following firms were opened in
the presence of the County Commissioners:
Republic Bank Note Company, Pittsburgh, Pa.:
Lithograph Bonds with Steel Borders,- - - - - - $193 -'00
Typeprinted Bonds with Steel Borders,- - - - - - 113-l00
Security Bank Note Company, Philadelphia, Pa.:
300 Bonds, same as those of Series A 1922,

Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract
for printing of bonds be awarded to Republic Bank Note Company, Pittsburgh,
at its bid of $193.00 for 300 Bonds, according to speoification,�Iand that
the Controller be instructed to return certified checks to the unsuccessful
bidders. Question called for. Voting "Aye", Messrs. Ecker an Johnston.
Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint 'meeting,
it was adjourned. 11

of Washington County, delivery to be made on Saturday, November and

Johnston and Ecler. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

Motion by Mr. Esker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that resignation
of Catherine Smith, as matron at Juvenile Detention Home, be accepted, and -
that Anna B. Hair be elected to succeed Miss Smith as Matron, the salary
of the said.Anna B. Hair to be $60.00 per month, the same.as that received)
by Miss Smith, the election of Mrs. Hair to be effective at once.- question
called for; voting "Aye", Messrs. Esker and Johnston. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, it adjourned.

Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Esker, that permission
be granted the Equitable Gas Company, of Pittsburgh, to construct a six (6)'
inch gas line across the improved concrete road in ,West Bethlehem Township,;
from West Zollarsville to Zollarsville, for a distance of thirty-three (33Y
feet, more or less, as per plan submitted and adopted, and in accordance
with conditions agreed upon, as per paper filed. question called for;
voting "Aye", Messrs. Johnston and Esker. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
