HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - - 4-17-1923 - COMMISSIONER , 7 MIN , UTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS that' section of public road, or highway, situate in Cecil Township, extending from the line of the Borough of Canonsburg, on the East, to the end of the concrete road, leading to Venice, at bridge, an approximate distance of 3200 feet , more and less, AND that part, or section of a public highway situate in Borough of Centreville, beginning at a point on State Highway Route #268, near ootered bridge on Two Mile Run, and extending Southwardly to the Company store at Vesta Mine #6, a distance of one mile, more or less. AND that section of _road, or highway, situate in Jefferson Township, known as the Burgettstown- Eldersville Road, a distance of three ( 3) Miles, more Less. Walker, Johnston and Ecker. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that County of Washington appropriate from the General Funds thereof the sum of Fifty, ( $50.00) Dollars to the use. and benefit of the Children+e Aid Society of Washington County, Pennsylvania, the said sum to be applied to the care and maintenance of children under the age of two ( 2) years, who may come within the reach and Jurisdiction of the Society, a warrant for said xpm of $50 to be drawn, payable to Miss Lola Hayes, Treasurer of the Society. Commissioners in regular session, members 1cesent being Messrs. Walker, Johnston and Ecker, Lotion by Mrr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that assessment of Detroit Motor Company, in Fifth Ward, borough of Washington, be reduced to $30,000, because of error in Valuation given at time of making tti-ennial assess- ment� that the property of Dr. Ley, in Carrol Township, be assessed at $500, for the same reason and that property assessed to William E, McBride, in Mt. Pleasant Township, be assessed at $3960, in accordance with recommendation made by the Assessor, Mrs. W. C. Moore. Motion unanimously Carried.
