Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Johnston and Baker; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but absent. Joint meeting of county Commissioners and county controller at 11:15 A. M, to open bids for the printing and delivery of approximately 85 assess- ment books and 77 field books for the 1924 property assessment; present for county commissioners, Messrs. Johnston and Baker; for county controller, Deputy Controller M. M. Decker; bids from following firms, each bid accompanied by certified check for $100, opened in presence of county commissioners. Wm. Q. Johnston Company, Pittsburgh, Pa. Assessment books, $350.00 Fields books, 63.00 Ashby Printing Gompany, Brie, Pa. Assessment Books, 270.00 Field Books,- 55.00 Ward Printing Company, .Washington, Pa. Assessment and Field Books. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ._.. . . . . . . . . . .-. . . ; ::.395.00 Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, the awarding of contract be deferred until Wednesday, June 20, Question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Baker and Johnston. Motion carried. There being no ,further business before the Joint meeting ,it was adjourned. There Ding no further business, the Board adjourned. SIGNED CO lov- y COMMISSIONERS. Johnston and Ecker; Mr. Walker having notice of meeting, but absent.- Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that contract for, printing and delivering approximately 87 Assessment Books and 77 Field Books for use in making assessment for 1924 be awarded to Ashby Printing Company, Erie, Pa: , at its bid submitted on June 19th, 1923, to-wit, $325.00. Question called for; voting "Aye" , Messrs. Baker and Johnston. Motion carried.
