Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs.;{ I Walker, Johnston and Ecker. Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker that the Board proceed to open bids received until close of business on Monday, July 23rd. , fpr the purchase of issue of $165,000 of Road Improvement Bonds of the County of Washington, Series of 1923 , for which advertisements were duly made by the county commissioners. Motion unanimously carried. Bids from the following-, firms 'and corporations, received up to the time of close of business on July 23rd , opened and read; Names of bidder, - Amount of bid. Union Trust Company ,Pittsburgh Par Accrued Int Prem.07161-.00 Redman & Company , Pittsburgh 7210.00 Mellon National Bank If If 7342.�'o Hill , Wright & Frew If If 716q.�5 J. H. Holmes & Company and If a 7013-00 First National Banktl 11 If Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that bid of Mellon Nattl Bank for the purchase of Bonds at Par Int and IM42.50 be accepted and that certified checks accompanying bids of unsuccessful bidders be returned to them at once by the Clerk of the Commissioners. Motion unanimously carried. Motion by Mr.- Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that Englert, Lithographing ,,Company, Pittsburgh, Pa. , be given contract for printing the 165 Bonds of the Road Improvement Bond Issue, series of 1923, bonds to have steel plate printed border, with lithographed coupons, printed text , for the sum of $97-00, as per proposal of said Company.
