Washington, Pa., Oct. 31', 1923.
Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs.
Walker and Johnston; Mr. Ecker having notice of meeting but absent;
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded .by Mr. Walker, that the contract
for delivering the ballots and supplies for the Municipal Election of November
b, 1923, be awarded to Thompson and Galley, at their bid of $570.00, consider-
ation being given to,,their previous experience and their reliability in handling
work of this character. Question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs."Johnston and
Walker; Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Board adjou ed.

Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that County Engineer
be instructed to purchase for use of the County of Washington, one,(1)
Linegraph Machine for marking center line of county roads, at an approximate
cost of one hundred fifty_($150.00) dollars.
Motion unanimously carried.
-Nov. 8, 1923.
Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that County
Controller be directs to return to bidders the certified checks accompanying
bide for road construction opened on September 24, 1923.
Motion unanimously carried.

Walker, Johnston and Ecker. Resolution presented and unanimously
adopted; Resolved, that the County of Washington contribute 1-3 cost, not to
exceed $35/000.00 towards improvement of highway in Cross Creek Township, start-
ing at McClain Bridge near Rea and extending to Mt.Pleasant Twp. line at Wood-
row a distance of 110"47o4 feet.
