HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - - 4-16-1923 - COMMISSIONER M IN UTE ' BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON JAMES W WALKER, W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS The section of the highway known as the Charleroi-Lover No. 2 Road, said section -beginning at the line between Fallowfield and West Pike Run Township, thence by way of the Charleroi-Lover No. 2 Road Through West Pike Run Township towards Centreville, a distance of 8,811 feet, That application for the approval of such improvement ,be presented to the Court of Quarter Sessions of said county, and that, upon the approval of such application by the Grand Jury and Court the County Commissioners shall ,improve the said described section of road in accordance with the surveys 7 and plans therefor which have been prepared by George S. Chaney , County Road Engineer, and in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly aforesaid ' and its supplements. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that resig- nation of Mies Estella B. Chubbic, an employee of this office, be accepted, effective this date, and that Mrs R. W. Taylor; an employee mf this office, granted a leave of absence last fall without pay, said leave to continue -until April , 1923, be reinstated in her former position as clerk in the office of the County Commissioners, effective this date, at former salary of $100 per month. Walker, Johnston and Ecker, Motion by Mr, Johnston, seconded 'by Mr.', Eq ier, that *pr oper steps be taken by County Solicitor and County Engineer to lay before the Grand ,!Jury, for approval ; certain sections of public road, or highway, as follows: , 7 MIN , UTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA J ELMER JOHNSTON, JAMES W WALKER W H ECKER, COMMISSIONERS that' section of public road, or highway, situate in Cecil Township, extending from the line of the Borough of Canonsburg, on the East, to the end of the concrete road, leading to Venice, at bridge, an approximate distance of 3200 feet , more and less, AND that part, or section of a public highway situate in Borough of Centreville, beginning at a point on State Highway Route #268, near ootered bridge on Two Mile Run, and extending Southwardly to the Company store at Vesta Mine #6, a distance of one mile, more or less. AND that section of _road, or highway, situate in Jefferson Township, known as the Burgettstown- Eldersville Road, a distance of three ( 3) Miles, more Less. Walker, Johnston and Ecker. Motion by Mr. Ecker, seconded by Mr. Johnston, that County of Washington appropriate from the General Funds thereof the sum of Fifty, ( $50.00) Dollars to the use. and benefit of the Children+e Aid Society of Washington County, Pennsylvania, the said sum to be applied to the care and maintenance of children under the age of two ( 2) years, who may come within the reach and Jurisdiction of the Society, a warrant for said xpm of $50 to be drawn, payable to Miss Lola Hayes, Treasurer of the Society.
