Commissioners in regular session, members present being , Messes. Walker, Johnston and Baker. Motion by Mr. Baker* seconded by Mr. Johnston, that valuation of property owned by Solar Farm Light Corporation in Borough of Burgettstown, be reduced from $30,000 to $20*000, in accordance with petition' signed by directors of said corporation, approved by Assessor and Tax Collector, J setting forth -fact that former valuation too high and that latter figures were more equitable, etc. Motion unanimously carried. The following resolution duly presented and adopted by unanimous vote: WHEREAS, it is the desire Of the Commissioners of the County of Washington to accept the provisions of the Act of July 1, 1919 , P. L« 893 , and the amendment. thereto approved the- 27th day of May, 1921, being Act #433 , commonly known as the Mothers' Assistance Fund Act, and to make same effective in said County and to appropriate from the funds of the County of Washington for the purpose of carrying said Act into efAct a sum of money equal to the amount apportioned to the County of Washington from the appropriation made by ,'r the Legislature, as per Act approved May 28, 19 23 , #251 , and, WHEREAS, it has been ascertained by the said County Commissioners that the amount of such apportionment to Washington County, under said Act for the period commencing June 1 , 1923 and ending May 31, 1925, is $28,031.25; THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Commissioners of the County of Washington that a like sum to-wit, the sum of $28,031,25 be and the same is hereby appropriated from the general funds of the County of Washington to the Trustees of the Motherst Assistance Fund of said County, to be disbursed by the said Trustees in accordance with the provisions of the Acts aforesaid; it being understood that be Beu bf the fact that the revenues of the State cannot now be definitely foresee }, that payments for the first six months , at least , of the new fiscal period shall be on the basis of 90 per cent of the apportion- ment to the County and, shall be paid by the County of Washington upon the basis of 90 per cent of the amount appropriated hereby.
