Commissioners in regular session, all members being present. Moved by Mr. Baker seconded by Mr. Johnston that the contracts for i the construction of roads be let to the lowest bidders in accordance with their bids, as follows:- Avella-Manchester Road -Samuel Gamble Co. $ 55234.70 Canonsburg -Venice Road -John Herd 32265.50 Moffitt's dill Road, Donora Construction Co. 12063.25 Charleroi -Lover Road, Colonial Con. Co.' 63313.80 Denbo Road-Geo S. white Co. 59962.65 There being no further business, the Boa adjourned. SIGNED COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., Oct. 9, 1923. Commissioners in regular session, members present,being Messrs. Walker and Baker; Mr. Johnston having notice of meeting, but absent. Joint meeting at 11:15 of County Commissioners and County'Controller to receive and open bids for the printing and delivery of approximately 72000 official ballots and 15000 specimen ballots for the Municipal Election of 1923; present for County Commissioners Messrs. Walker and Baker, for County Controller, Deputy Controller, M. M. Decker; but one bid was received and this, ftom the Ward Printing Company, was opened in the presence of the County Commissioners and read, as follows: - For printing and delivering approximately 72000 official and 15000 4 specimen ballots, the sum of $3850.00; additional ballots required to be furnished at rate of $35.00 per thousand. Motion by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the contract for printing and delivering the said ballots be awarded to the Ward Piin*ing Company, at the figures submitted. question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Baker and Walker. Motion carried. From the Minutes; A True Copy; Attest Clerk County Commissioners, Office of County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., Oct. 23, 1923. Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs., Walker and Johnston; Mr. Ecker having notice of meeting, but absent. Motion by Mr. Johnston, seconded by Mr. -Walker, that preference for State Aid Construction be made to the State Highway Department as follows; (1). Bentleyville Borough; (2). State Highway Route from, Bentleyville Borough line via Ellsworth to National Pike at Scenery Hill. Question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. Johnston and Walker. Motion carried. Walker and Johnston, for Controller, Mr. Underwood; bids from following persons opened in presence of County Commissioners and read; J. H. McMurray, $487.00 -Thompson & Galley, 570.00 Motion by Mr.,Johnston, seconded by Mr. Walker, that awarding of contract be deferred until full investigation could be made. Question called for; voting "Aye" Messrs. -Johnston and Walker. - Motion carried. There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. SIGNED COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
