Washington, PA, August 19, 2010
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present:
Commissioners Larry Maggi and Bracken Burns; Controller Mike Namie. Absent being: Commissioner Diana Irey. Also
being present: Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher,
Administrative Assistant; JoAnn Metz, Commissioner Irey's Office; Roger Metcalfe and Irene Farabee, Finance Department;
Chuck Nicholls, Director of Human Resources; Carl Maggi and John Adams, interested citizens.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:50 a.m.
Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute No. 7-S-10 dated July 15, 2010 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
John Adams of Avella addressed the Board regarding the concept of combining offices to save taxpayers money.

BARJ Coordinator, 56,349.25, abolish one FT salaried position, eff. 8/19/10
LEADER Program Coordinator, 56,349.25, abolish one FT salaried position, eff. 8/19/10
PO Supervisor, 56,349.25, create two FT salaried positions, eff. 8/19/10
PARKS
Zachary Wessel, summer employee, extend the summer employment thru 9/23/10
Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the above -listed personnel items.

Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
