This agreement will be effective June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2019, at the rate of $4.52 per sq. ft. for a total monthly rent of $5405.17 for 14,350 total sq. ft., with the option to renew for two additional five-year terms at 4.64 & 4.76 per sq. ft. The contract authorization amount will not exceed $3,805 and no additional county funds are required. The cost of this direct messaging service, which is encrypted to safeguard protected health information, will be $220 for the initial year and $156 per year for renewal years. Repal was the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder meeting the requirements. The costs of these improvements have been approved for Act 13 Funds. Mrs. Taper introduced one of the directors, Mary Jo Patrick -Hatfield, who plays a very important role as far as making sure the quality of services provided are of the highest level when identifying the needs of the citizens of Washington County. Mrs. Vaughan read a proclamation and declared May 11-17, 2014, as National Nursing Home Week. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the proclamation declaring May 11-17, 2014, as National Nursing Home Week. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Washington County Health Center Administrator Tim Kimmel accepted the proclamation. He thanked the Commissioners on behalf of the staff, residents and families. Mr. Kimmel stated his appreciation to the Commissioners for all they have done and for all they continue to do for the health center. He announced that there will be a wide variety of activities taking place during this week and being mindful of their theme, "Living the Aloha Spirit." Mr. Kimmel stated the main focus will always be giving the best care possible to the residents and making their stay at the health center the best experience. Mr. Shober read a certificate of recognition for Building and Grounds for their exemplary efforts in preparation for the PCN filming at the Washington County Courthouse. Building and Grounds Director Gary Bertosh accepted the certificate and thanked the Commissioners for this recognition, on behalf of his entire staff. Mr. Bertosh introduced maintenance coordinator Janet Osiecki, as well as Mike Black, Jason Lesnock, Bob Crothers, Adam Betzler, Dave Quattro and the rest of the staff that could not be in attendance. Mr. Maggi stated the PCN film crew are appreciative of the help of the maintenance crew and commented how beautiful the courthouse looks. Mr. Maggi read a retirement plaque for Debra Rea who served the county for over 39 years. Ms. Rea thanked the Commissioners and the Planning Commission staff for the honor and privilege of working together. Mr. Maggi read a retirement plaque Keith Ankrom who served the county for over 27 years. Director of the Planning Commission, Lisa Cessna, thanked Debra Rea for the voluminous amount of work that she produced. Mrs. Cessna also thanked Mr. Ankrom for his supervisory skills over the crew in Mingo Park, which has transformed into a more beautiful park. Superintendent of Parks, Kevin Garrison, thanked Mr. Ankrom for his many years of dedicated service.
