Washington County Retirement Board
Washington, PA, March 13, 200 3
The Special Meeting of the Washington County Retirement Board was held at
approximately 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003, in the Public Meeting Room,
Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following
members being present: Commissioners John P. Bevec, Diana L. Irey, and J. Bracken
Burns, Sr.; Treasurer Francis King; and Controller Michael Namie. Also present:
Catherine E. Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Roger Metcalfe, Budget Director.
The purpose of this special meeting was to hear presentations for a large cap
growth equity manager and a fixed income manager
Presentations for a large cap growth equity manager were given by the
following:
Ark Asset Management Co., Inc. — 10:00 a.m. — Ms. Nancy A. Peretz,
Managing Director;
Mr. Robert W. Norton, Managing Director.
Ashfield & Co., Inc. — 10:30 a.m. — Mr. Keith D. Thompson, Regional
Director; Mr. Bradley J. Fretz, Principal/Portfolio Manager.
Dresdner RCM Global Investors —11:00 a.m. — Mr. Theodore J. Deutz,
Director, Public & Union Plans.
Eagle Asset Management, Inc. —11:30 a.m. — Mr. William H. Lynch, Senior
Vice President, Institutional Sales; Mr. Duane A. Eatherly, CFA, Managing
Director, Portfolio Manager, Institutional Growth Division.

inspection.

A discussion by the board members followed the presentations. The meeting was
adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
