HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 3-S-11 - 3-3-2011 - SALARY023 MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minut.- No. 3-S-11 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, March 3, 2011 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana Irey Vaughan; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chuck Nicholls, Director of Human Resources; Josh Hatfield, Deputy Controller; Carl Maggi, John Adams and Frank Byrd, interested citizens; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:50 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 2-S-11 dated February 3, 2011 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Irey Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS: John Adams, of Avella, commented on the elected officials 3% raises. He stated that the taxpayers cannot afford these increases. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AGING Clerk Steno II, Grade 5, 90%, 14.584, create one TP position, eff. 2/18/11. The TP position will be eliminated when D. Miller goes on unpaid leave or when she returns to work, whichever comes first. Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel item.
