MINUTE Minute No. 6-S-11 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, June 2, 2011 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana Irey Vaughan; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chuck Nicholls, Director of Human Resources; Carl Maggi, Frank Bird, Harlan Shober and John Adams, interested citizens; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:20 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 5-S-11 dated May 5, 2011 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Irey Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. (Controller Namie entered the meeting) PULLIC COMMENTS: John Adams, of Avella, commented on the elected officials 3% raises. He stated that the taxpayers cannot afford these increases. FOP'. THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION CHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES Casework Supervisor, 49,269.30, abolish one FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11 Program Director, 54,269.30, create one FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11. This position is being created to consolidate the permanency and independent living services within CYS and more effectively handle the continued expectations being established by OCYF and AOPC regarding permanency practices. HEALTH CENTER — NURSING ADMINISTRATION Alzheimer's Unit Care Coordinator, abolish one vacant FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11 RN Supervisor, abolish two vacant FT salaried positions, eff. 6/2/11 RN Unit Manager, abolish one vacant FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11 RN Charge Nurse, abolish three vacant FT salaried positions, eff. 6/2/11 Clinical Staffing Coordinator, abolish one vacant FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11 Clinical Coordinator, 55,000.00, create four FT salaried positions, eff. 6/2/11 Clinical Coordinator, 211.538/day, create five PT salaried positions, eff. 6/2/11 Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Coordinator, 55,000.00, create one FT salaried position, eff. 6/2/11 Director of Nursing, 77,250.00 to 85,000.00, increase in annual salary, eff. 6/2/11 HEALTH CENTER — HOUSEKEEPING Housekeeper, Pay Grade 1, 90%, 13.937/hour, create one FT union position, eff. 6/2/11. This position is being created to accommodate the addition of the new rehabilitation wing at the health center. Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, approving the foregoing personnel items.
