HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 7-S-11 - 7-14-2011 - SALARYMINUTE WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 7-S-11 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, July 14, 2011 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Buildi ng, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana Irey Vaughan; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Dan Clements, Chief Juvenile Probation Officer; Chuck Nicholls, Director of Human Resources; Harry Sabatasse and Frank Bird, interested citizens; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA, Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:15 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 6-S-11 dated June 2, 2011 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Irey Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Judge O'Dell Seneca extended an invitation to the Board regarding a special ceremony to celebrate Probation and Parole Officers and Agents Week in Pennsylvania next week. She noted at that time the county's officers will take their peace officer oaths in the county's memorial garden where a cookout will also be held. FOR 'HE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION COU .TS Job Training Coordinator, 33,000.00, create one FT salaried position, eff. 7/14/11. The position is being funded by a two year PCCD grant with no County match and will be abolished when the funding is no longer available. Moved by Judge O'Dell Seneca, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel item for the Courts. Roll call vote taken: Judge O'Dell Seneca — Yes; Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Correctional Officer, 13.13/hour, abolish two PT union positions, eff. 7/14/11 Captain, 21.5538/hour, create two PT salaried positions, eff. 7/14/11 PUBLIC SAFETY Public Safety Systems Support Engineer, 34,886.33, abolish one FT salaried position, eff. 7/14/11 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Network & Systems Support Specialist, 38,450.00, create one FT salaried position, eff. 7/14/11 MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA HEALTH CENTER — NURSING ADMINISTRATION RN Supervisor, 53,560.00 per position, abolish three vacant FT salaried positions, eff. 7/14/11 Rosella Ealy, RNAC, 55,166.80 to 60,320.00, increase in annual salary, eff. retroactive to 7/1/11 Danielle Patterson, Staff Development/Infection Control Coordinator, 53,560.00 to 55,000.00, increase in annual salary, eff. retroactive to 7/1/11 Rhonda Erickson, RN Unit Manager, 53,560.00 to 56,626.74, increase in annual salary, eff. retroactive to 7/1/11 Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, approving the foregoing personnel items.
