Washington, PA, November 3, 2011
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present:
Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana Irey Vaughan; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present:
Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative
sistant; Chuck Nicholls, Director of Human Resources; John Adams, Carl Maggi, Joe Zupancic and Frank Byrd, interested
citizens; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter and Jim Jefferson WJPA.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:35 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 10-S-11 dated October 6, 2011 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mrs. Irey Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
John Adams made comments regarding the election officials receiving a 3% pay raise.
Temporary employee,15.711/hour, create one position, eff. 11/21/11 thm 3/9/12 to work on a scanning project
The position will be funded by the Recorder of Deeds Record Improvement Fund and no County funds are required.
Moved by Ms. Bardella, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel item for the Recorder of Deeds
O Ifice.

Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
Jury Commission Assist., 94.25/day, create one Temp. position while M. Johnson is on paid leave. The temp. position
will be eliminated when M. Johnson returns to work or goes on unpaid leave.
Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel item for the Jury Commission
Office.
