Shober, Jr.; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Chief Clerk Mary Helicke; Solicitor Mary Lyn Drewitz; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg, Human Resources Director Chuck Nicholls; Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller and WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizen Frank Byrd. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:37 a.m. Movec. by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving Minute No. 7-S-12 dated July 19, 2012, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS None FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION VETERANS' AFFAIRS Veterans'/Human Services Coordinator, $30,388.75/year, abolish one FT salaried position effective 8/16/12 Veterans' Affairs Coordinator, $30,388.75/year, create one FT salaried position effective 8/16/12 Moved by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel item. PUBLIC COMMENTS John Adams of Independence Township asked the Commissioners if they still receive a 3% pay increase. He also commented on the economy.
