HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 10-S-12 - 10-4-2012 - SALARYMINUTE BOOK 79 SALARY Bo RD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 10- -12 Washington County Commissioners Salary Board Washington, PA, October 4, 2012 The Wa hington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Chief Clerk Mary Helicke; Solicitor Lynn DeHaven, A .strative Assistant Joyce Thornburg, District Attorney Gene Vittone, Warden Joe Pelzer, Human Resources Director Chuck Nicholls; Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller and WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizens Bracken Burns, Frank Byrd and John Adams. Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:47 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan Irey, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving Minute No. 9-S-12 dated September 6, 2012, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Sho 3er - Yes; Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Nan -de — Yes. Motion zatried unanimously. John District time clerk commented on the raises of the elected officials, the cost to run the County and the gas well industry. Gene Vittone presented to the board a motion to abolish one full time clerk typist I position and create one part - I position. Moved by Mr. Vittone; seconded by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, approving the foregoing personnel time. Roll ca vote taken: Mr. Vit one — Yes; Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion (carried unanimously. juvenile Justice Victim Advocate, $25,818,00, abolish one vacant full time salaried position effective 10/4/12 juvenile Justice Victim Advocate, $18,000.00, create one part-time salaried position effective 10/4/12. The position will be funded through a grant and will remain as long as the grant funds are available.
