Minute No. 11-S-12 Washington County Commissioners
Salary Board Washington, PA, November 1, 2012
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building,
Washingto , Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana
Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Chief Clerk Mary Helicke; Solicitor Lynn
DeHaven, Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg, Human Resources Director Chuck Nicholls; Recorder of Deeds Debbie Bardella;
Observer-R eporter representative Barbara Miller and WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizens Frank Byrd and John
Adams.
Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:35 a.m.
by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving Minute No. 10-S-12 dated October 4, 2012, as written.
call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Irey Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Mo .on carried unanimously.
John Adams of Independence Township commented on elected officials 3% raises.
Ms. Bardella presented to the board a motion a temporary employee, $16.517/hour, create one position effective 12/17/12
through 1/ 4/13 and 3/10/13 through 3/17/13 to work on a special scanning project. The position will be funded by the Recorder of
Deeds Record Improvement Fund and no County funds are required.
by Ms. Bardella; seconded by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, approving the foregoing personnel item.

Motion carried unanimously.
Hu an Services Director/Assistant Administrator, $87,550,01, Human Services Director/HC Administrator, $97,500.00 change
in title and salary adjustment effective 11/1/12.
Attprney, $64,374.99, designate annual salary effective 11/1/12 for the vacant FT salaried position created 7/19/12.
by Mr. Shober; seconded by Mrs. Irey Vaughan, approving the foregoing personnel requests.
