Shober, Jr. and Deputy Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Mary Helicke; Administrative A ;sistant Joyce Thornburg; Human Resources Director Chuck Nicholls; Finance Director Roger Metcalfe; Washington County Treasurer Francis King; Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller; WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizen Frank Byrd. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:37 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 1-6-14 dated January 6, 2014, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION D [STRICT ATTORNEY Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of District Attorney Vittone; paralegal, pay grade 10 — 90% - J46.925/hour; abolish one vacant full time union position effective 1/23/14 Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of District Attorney Vittone; legal secretary; pay grade 6 — 90% - $16.118/hour; create one full time union position effective 1/23/14. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION (continued) Aging, van driver, pay grade 1 — 90% - $15.079/hour, create one per diem position effective 1/23/14. Aging, nutrition coordinator; increase the work hours for the full time position from six hours per day to six and one-half hours per day effective 2/10/14. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Shober; approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences: Debra Cadez, TCO, FMLA medical,01/02/14 to 01/17/14 Melodie Corbertt, caseworker I1, intermittent leave for self, 01/15/14 to 03/10/14 Robert Crothers, plumber II, FMLA medical, 01/07/14 to 02/21/14 Melvin Gray Jr., correctional officer I, FMLA medical, 01/15/14 to 04/15/14 Tosha Hubbard, certified nurses aide, FMLA medical, 01/08/14 to 04/02/14 Denise Johnson, certified nurses aide, FMLA medical, 01/20/14 to 02/17/14 Sandra Ruscello, certified nurses aide, intermittent leave for self, 01/01/14 to 07/01/14 Laura Shaner, RN unit manager, FMLA medical, 01 / 13 / 14 to 01 / 17/ 14 Erik Sheldon, office operations supervisor — tax assessment, FMLA medical, 12/30/13 to 01/13/14 Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2014 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2014 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
