Salary Board Minute No. SB 1-22-15 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., January 22, 2015
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members
being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and Controller Michael
Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk
Mary Helicke; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Human Resources Director Kathleen Bali; Observer -
Reporter representative Barbara Miller; WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizen Frank Byrd.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:07 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 1-5-15 dated
January 5, 2015, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
Washington County Health Center Nursing Administration, RN Clinical Coordinator, $58,349.49 reduced
to $55,000; reduction in annual salary for the vacant part time salaried position effective 1/22/15.
Washington County Health Center Nursing Administration, RN Clinical Coordinator, $61,908.98 reduced
to $55,000; reduction in annual salary for the vacant part time salaried position effective 1/22/15.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried.
LEAVES OF ABSENCES —January 5. 2015 to January 21. 2015
Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences:

Staci Macik, Certified Nurses Aide, Intermittent leave for self, 01/12/15 to 07/12/15
Nancy McGee, Certified Nurses Aide , FMLA medical, 01/15/15 to 04/15/15
Karen Mruk, Food Service Housekeeper, FMLA medical, 11/30/14 to 12/07/14
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2015 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It
is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2015 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
11:09 a.m.
