Salary Board Minute No. SB 3-5-15 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., March 5, 2015
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members
being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and Controller Michael
Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk
Mary Helicke; Paula Jansante; Human Resources Director Kathleen Bali; Observer -Reporter representative Barbara
Miller; WJPA representative Jim Jefferson; and concerned citizen Frank Byrd.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:22 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 2-5-15 dated
February 5, 2015, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
COURTS
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of Judge Katherine B. Emery; Chief Probation Officer,
$278.65/day; abolish one part-time temporary position effective 3/5/15.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of District Attorney Gene Vittone; Victim Advocate,
$32,683.14 reduced to $31,733.00; reduction in annual salary for the vacant full-time salaried position effective
3/5/15.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2015 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It
is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2015 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:26 a.m.
