Salary Board Minute No. SB 11-5-15 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., November 5, 2015
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following
members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and
Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk Mary
Helicke; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Human Resources representative Carrie Taylor;
Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller and concerned citizen Frank Byrd.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:32 a.m.
Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mrs. Vaughan, approving Minute No. SB 9-17-15 dated
September 17, 2015, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
JUVENILE PROBATION
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Site Based Monitor;
$13.79/hour ($25,097.80/year) reduced to $13.00/hour ($23,660. 00 /year); reduction in hourly salary for one
full-time salaried position effective retroactive to 11/2/15.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Motion carried unanimously.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2015 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2015 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:33 a.m.
