Salary Board Minute No. SB 12-17-15 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., December 17, 2015
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following
members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and
Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Mary Helicke;
Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Human Resources Director Kathleen Bali; Observer -Reporter
representative Barbara Miller and concerned citizen Frank Byrd.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:05 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 12-3-15 dated
December 3, 2015, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
Correctional Facility, Correctional Counselor, $43,242.37; abolish one vacant full-time salaried
positions effective 12/17/15.
Correctional Facility, Forensic Therapist, $43,242.37; create one full-time salaried positions effective
12/17/15.
CHILDREN & YOUTH SERVICES
Children & Youth Services, Casework Supervisor, $46,173.60 increase to $54,132.00; increase in
annual salary for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 01/04/16.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.

Motion carried unanimously.
Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2015 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2015 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
11:07 a.m.
