Salary Board Minute No. SB 5-19-16 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., May 19, 2016
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members
being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Controller Michael
Nan -lie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk
Irene Reese; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Human Resources Director Kathleen Bali; Observer -
Reporter representative Barbara Miller; and concerned citizen Frank Byrd.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mrs. Vaughan, approving Minute No. SB 5-5-16 dated
May 5, 2016, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
COURTS
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, FITS Foreman;
$32,357.44/year; abolish one vacant full-time salaried grant funded position effective 5/19/16.
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, FITS Foreman; $12.9489/hour;
abolish one part-time salaried position effective 5/19/16.
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, FITS Foreman;
$32,357.44/year; create one full-time salaried position effective 5/19/16.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober - Yes; Mrs. Vaughan - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2016 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It
is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2016 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:47 a.m.
