HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - SB 2-2-17 - 2-2-2017 - SALARY219 SALARY BOARD ]MR LIMITED E1316649LD Salary Board Minute No. SB 2-2-17 MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLANIA Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 2, 2017 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk Cynthia B. Griffin; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Executive Secretary Randi Marodi; Human Resources Director Kathleen Bali; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Clerk of Courts Frank Scandale; Observer -Reporter representative Barb Miller; Herald Standard representative Steve Ferris and concerned citizen Frank Byrd. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:40 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 1-19-17 dated January 19, 2017 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION COURTS Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Adult Probation; Clerical Supervisor; Pay Grade 5-90%-$17.337/hour; abolish one vacant full-time union position effective 2/2/17. Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Adult Probation; Clerk Typist II; Pay Grade 4-90%-$17.157/hour; create one full-time union position effective 2/2/17. Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Court Administrator; Senior Law Clerk/PFA Coordinator; $45,020.38/year reduced to $42,985.88/year; reduction in annual salary for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 2/2/17. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES BHDS, MR Program Specialist I; $51,151.23/year reduced to $40,000.00/year; reduction in annual salary for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 2/2/17. 220 MINUTE BOOK SALARY BOARD IMR LIMITED E1316649LD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLANIA HEALTH CENTER WCHC-Maintenance, Van Driver; Pay Grade 1-90%-$16.164/hour; abolish one vacant full-time union position effective 2/8/17. WCHC-Maintenance, Van Driver; Pay Grade 1-90%-$16.164/hour; create one part-time position effective 2/8/17. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2017 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
