HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - SB 6-15-17 - 6-15-2017 - SALARYMINUTE 237 SALARY BOARD IMR LIMITED E1316649LD Salary Board Minute No. SB 6-15-17 WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLANIA Washington, Pa., June 15, 2017 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Deputy Controller Cathy Sams; and absent from the meeting is Controller Mike Nan -lie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Chief Clerk Cynthia B. Griffin; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Executive Secretary Joy Orndoff; Human Resources representative Carrie Taylor; Observer -Reporter representative Barb Miller; WJPA representative Carl Malm and Herald Standard representative Pat Cloonan. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:28 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Shober, approving Minute No. SB 5-18-17 dated May 18, 2017 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mrs. Sams — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION COURTS JUVENILE PROBATION Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Job Training Program Site Manager; $33,765.26/year reduced to $30,900.01 /year; reduction in annual salary for one (1) vacant full -tune salaried position effective 6/15/17. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mrs. Sams — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. HEALTH CENTER Nursing Administration, Nursing Secretary/Confidential; $38,703.50/year; abolish one (1) vacant full- time salaried position effective 6/15/17. Nursing Administration, (LPN) Nurse Assessment Coordinator; $45,988.00/year; create one (1) full- time salaried position effective 6/15/17. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mrs. Sams, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mrs. Sams — Yes. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2017 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
