Salary Board Minute No. SB 7-19-18 July 19, 2018
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square
Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members
being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Controller Mike
Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Cynthia B. Griffin; Administrative
Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Interim Human Resources Director Andrea Johnston; Finance Director Josh
Hatfield; and Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:47 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 6-21-18 dated
June 21, 2018 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
COURTS
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Juvenile Probation, Job
Training Program Site Monitor; $32,781.79/year reduced to $30,900.01/year; reduction in annual salary for
one full-time salaried position effective retroactive to 7/9/18.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober_, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
CHILD CARE INFORMATION SERVICES
CCIS, Case Specialist; abolish eight vacant full-time salaried positions effective retroactive to
6/30/18.
CCIS, Provider/Finance Specialist; abolish one vacant full-time salaried position effective retroactive
to 6/30/18.
CCIS, Client/Provider Coordinator; abolish one vacant full-time salaried position effective retroactive
to 6/30/18.
CCIS, Client Services Supervisor; abolish one vacant full-time salaried position effective retroactive to
6/30/18.
CCIS, Provider/Information Specialist; abolish one vacant full-time salaried position effective
retroactive to 6/30/18.

Children & Youth Services, Casework Supervisor; $65,066.64/year reduced to $55,000.00/year;
reduction in annual salary for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 7/19/18.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public Safety, GIS Manager; $41,515.14/year reduced to $39,132.00/year; reduction in annual salary
for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 7/19/18.
TAX REVENUE
Tax Revenue, Assistant Chief Assessor; $52,000.00/year increased to $54,232.36/year; increase in
annual salary for one full-time salaried position effective 7/30/18.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2018 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the'Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2018 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:49 a.m.
