HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - SB 11-1-18 - 11-1-2018 - SALARY307 MINUTE SALARY BOARD IMR LIMITED E1316949LD Salary Board Minute No. SB 11-1-18 BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLANIA November 1, 2018 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Cynthia B. Griffin; Administrative Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Executive Secretaries Joy Orndoff and Randi Marodi; Human Resources Acting Director Andrea Johnston; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Director Jeff Kotula; Observer -Reporter representative Barbara Miller and concerned citizens James Gordon and James Piper. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:37 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 10-18-18 dated October 18, 2018, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION CHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES Children and Youth Services, Program Specialist; $50,747.24/year reduced to $43,428.92/year; reduction in annual salary for one vacant fill -time salaried position effective 11/1/18. Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. LEAVES OF ABSENCES —October 18.2018 to October 31.2018 Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences: Michael Costello, Correctional Officer I, FMLA medical, 09/18/18 to 10/01/18 Rebecca Salsbury, MH Program Specialist I, maternity leave, 10/24/18 to 01/15/19 Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2018 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2018 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
