Salary Board Minute No. SB 12-6-18 December 6, 2018
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square
Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members
being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober, Jr.; Controller Mike
Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Cynthia B. Griffin; Administrative
Assistant Joyce Thornburg; Executive Secretary Randi Marodi; Secretary Paula Jansante; Human Resources
Acting Director Andrea Johnston; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Treasurer Francis King; Marquette
representatives Lee Martin and Sarah Wilson; and Raylient Asset Management representative David Rice.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:31 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 11-15-18 dated
November 15, 2018, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES
BHDS, Casework Supervisor; $45,624.38/year reduced to $41,735.10/year; reduction in annual salary
for one vacant full-time salaried position effective 12/6/18.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
LEAVES OF ABSENCES —November 15. 2018 to December 5.2018
Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences:
Jane Zupancic, Program Specialist, FMLA medical, 11/26/18 to 12/07/18
Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2018 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2018 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:32 a.m.
